about.
As a voice teacher for BroadwayVox my students are represented on Broadway, Off-Broadway, national tours, cruises, in regional theatre, and more.
the background
a Master of Music in Voice Pedagogy from Shenandoah University with emphasis in Contemporary Commercial Music, during which my main topics of research were underrepresented genres in the curricula of elite collegiate music programs, and the causes and interventions for performance anxiety. My graduate recital focus was an exploration on music as a vehicle for curiosity— in other words, taking “keen interest” in the lives and stories and wellbeing of those around you or those who are represented within the music itself.
the goal
to relieve students of the mystery of the singing voice to encourage self-sufficiency and ignite a passion for expression that fuels itself by incorporating voice science and cognitive learning with my background in acting, movement, and bodywork.
the mission
investing in and celebrating the beauty and diversity of the world around us through multi-genre vocal instruction and artistic mentorship.
